According to the plans revealed1 this week, Ainbinder will spend 6 Million dollars on improvements in and around the area to bring a Walmart development to the Heights Area. Ainbinder would then be given reimbursements from the City of Houston over a defined period of time for those improvements made.
6 Million dollars of tax payer money to bring another Walmart into a urban, residential area seems a bit excessive considering they’re building a brand new Walmart at I-10&6-10 in a established commercial area.
Because tax money is involved, this affects every taxpayer in the City of Houston. Please write the Mayor and your district representative and let them know you do NOT support your tax dollars going to a Walmart development in the Heights Area.
